03 Feb How To Excel as an Experiential Marketing Professional
I had the pleasure of speaking with the Director Of Operations, Mandee Flanders, at Oxford Marketing. Oxford Marketing was voted by industry peers as the Agency of the Year in 2018. We took the time to catch up with the team at Oxford a year later to see how the business has grown and to discuss the top tips for EXPs looking to advance as industry professionals. Not only did she break down what is required to obtain opportunities as an Experiential Marketing Professional, but we also discussed how to deal with account and staffing managers, as well as the ways in which you can obtain opportunities with Oxford Marketing.
One of my favorite highlights from the interview that Mandee talked about was the importance of appreciating EXPs in the field. Oftentimes, agencies lose sight of this important aspect, and it was great to hear that Oxford prides itself on taking care of its staff. And having account managers who have field experience is one way to do so. Mandee also talked about the importance of sending out thank-you cards or recognizing an EXP via social media. While it may seem like a small gesture, as a current Experiential Marketing Professional executing events, this creates a sense of appreciation and gratitude. Kudos to Mandee and the team at Oxford for recognizing the importance of this!
Keeping it real and transparent was apparent, and EXPs also had the opportunity to chime in and ask Mandee questions. Now, you know I am not going to give all of the tips and insight away in this blog, but you can watch the interview over on my YouTube channel, and download the FREE checklist below of tips for you to implement when working as an EXP with Oxford or any Experiential Marketing or staffing agency.
