THE JAE DAVIS EXPERIENCE: Tour Life Chronicles – From Albuquerque to Dallas, TX (Part 2)

Jae Davis Tour Manager Experiential Marketing

LESSONS LEARNED from Dallas, TX! Texas is such a big state, so we are spending quite a bit of time here between a couple of different cities, with lots of activation days to complete. We hit rain, winds, hail, and some scattered tornadoes, but nonetheless we pulled it together and had some great events. I’m learning to embrace imperfections, roll with the flow, and keep prioritizing my body, mind, and soul in the midst of it all. Make sure you check out this weeks YouTube episode for the inside look!

Here in Dallas we had 5 activation days, 4 of which happened 4 days in a row. Whew!…let me just say I am growing very thankful for the time that I have chosen to invest in Tai Chi. While here in Dallas I chose to do it daily. It is pushing me to grow as an individual, find myself in new ways, and really helps me stay grounded and keep up with these busy days of tour life. The meditation and stretches help release negative energy, and I’m convinced it plays a bigger role than I even know.

Wrapping up our last day of activation….I was not feeling well at all. But with a little self-care and some time for the meds to kick in, I was ready to go once activation time arrived. But I’m gonna be honest with you, this was one of those days if I didn’t HAVE to be at work I would’ve just stayed home and chilled out. But hey, part of working on tour and being on the road, is not only having to adjust to changes on site, but also having to get through the day with any ailments that you may be going through as long as they are not life threatening.

My final takeaway. Our souls and how we impact other people IS important! Making sure that you keep good positive energy and positive people around you IS important. Tai chi, yoga, meditation, going to church…different strokes for different folks….I get it! What’s important is that you find what works for you. Work on yourself, pursue your goals, and make sure that you find your purpose and what makes you happy in life.
