30 Jul THE JAE DAVIS EXPERIENCE: Tour Life Chronicles – From Dallas to “H-Town”
It was HOT and WINDY as we arrived here in Houston and began preparing for our 4 days of activation’s! After the 4 hr drive from Dallas, we made it to our hotel, and gave Muppet and the truck a good car wash! One thing I want to point out is…don’t be afraid to try new things, and do some trial and error when you are out on tour to see what works best. We decided to request an earlier start time for our day 3 activation because we found that starting at 11am seemed to be a better time frame. It was definitely a good choice!
Over the last few weeks I’ve been participating in a challenge that has really allowed for some good self reflection and growth. My prompt for this week was “talk about something you have learned about yourself from this challenge”. So the main thing I want to highlight that really stuck out in my mind was…it’s OK to make a mistake. Along with that I have learned how to be more comfortable in front of the camera, not having as much anxiety about what I’m going to say next or how I’m going to present it. The art of CONNECTION and NOT PERFECTION is what I am striving to work on!
After 4 activation days we wrapped up our time here in Houston. We had a great visit in this city, got the chance to check out Beyonce’s neighborhood, eat at an amazing restaurant called “Culture” which we highly recommend, and had good times with some old friends. And on our way out of town, I went into the bathroom and chopped my hair off ya’ll!! Yep, I’ll be taking my hair out on our long 15 hour drive ahead and gettin a “new do” on the way to South Carolina!
